Troy Vincent, the Executive Vice President of Football Operations, sent a memo to all 32 teams releasing the schedule for NFL training camps. Rookies will report on July 21, quarterbacks and injured players are to report on July 23, and the rest of the players will report on Juy28.
Training camps will take place at each team’s home practice facility. Only 20 players will be allowed in the facility at a time. Until the NFLPA agrees to infectious disease emergency response plans for each franchise.
NFL teams are still discussing safety protocols for the COVID-19 pandemic and are talking about how testing will work. It will be interesting to see how all this pans out for the NFL. Hopefully, they come up with a good plan; if not, this could be bad.
The NFL already cut out the first two weeks of the preseason due to coronavirus. If things do not improve, you could see all preseason games cut. All we can do now is wait and see what happens.
